BIOGRAFIA
La manifattura per la produzione di ceramiche artistiche "Petucco & Tolio", fondata nel 1945 dai soci Giovanni Petucco, Andrea Tolio e Gino Cuman, è attiva a Nove, in provincia di Vicenza, con sede in via Molini 44.
Sotto la direzione di Giovanni Petucco, oltre alla produzione di vasi, soprammobili e basi per lampade la specialità della manifattura è costituita da interessanti pannelli decorativi sia in stile tradizionale che moderno e dai famosi personaggi stilizzati raffiguranti pretini e alti prelati.
Dai forni della manifattura escono inoltre importanti lavori, monotipi, realizzati da Giovanni Petucco e presentati a varie edizioni della Biennali di Venezia e della Trienale di Milano.
Nel 1948 e nel 1956 la manifatture è presente con la sua produzione alla Biennale di Venezia; nel 1949 e nel 1961 è alla Mostra Nazionale della Ceramica di Vicenza.
Dai primi anni Sessanta fino al 1970 tra i vari dipendenti della manifattura troviamo Floriano Gheno.
La manifattura, che negli anni espone anche all'estero, in Svezia, Finladia, Francia e Germania, prosegue la produzione anche dopo la morte dei fondatori fino alla fine degli anni Settanta e l'inizio degli anni Ottanta.

BIOGRAPHY
The manufactory for the production of artistic ceramics "Petucco & Tolio," founded in 1945 by partners Giovanni Petucco, Andrea Tolio and Gino Cuman, is active in Nove, in the province of Vicenza, with headquarters at 44 Molini Street.
Under the direction of Giovanni Petucco, in addition to the production of vases, ornaments and lamp bases the specialty of the manufactory is interesting decorative panels in both traditional and modern styles and the famous stylized figures depicting pretenders and high prelates.
Also coming out of the manufactory's kilns are important works, monotypes, created by Giovanni Petucco and presented at various editions of the Venice Biennial and the Trienale in Milan.
In 1948 and 1956 the manufactory was present with its production at the Venice Biennale; in 1949 and 1961 it was at the National Exhibition of Ceramics in Vicenza.
From the early 1960s until 1970 among the manifacture's various employees we find Floriano Gheno.
The manufactory, which over the years also exhibited abroad, in Sweden, Finland, France and Germany, continued production even after the death of the founders until the late 1970s and early 1980s.
